About the conference

Mini-MegaMUN is a model United Nations conference taking place at the Lycée Michel-Rodange from 19th – 21th November 2026 in Luxembourg City.

MUN conferences simulate the work of the United Nations and help students to learn more about the principles of the UN and how it functions. Participants also develop their language skills through debates, engage with current political issues and follow the actual rules and practices used at the UN. During the conference, the students stay with host families and form intercultural bonds and friendships.

Over 20 students and 8 teachers from three countries outside of Luxembourg are scheduled to participate in our MUN debates dealing with varying issues around developments in diverse areas and modern democracy.

Under the theme of „Dystopia or Utopia“, the participating students will explore the societal and political challenges posed by the current evolution in many different sectors.

The main theme of this year’s conference is „Dystopia or Utopia “. Not only will we discuss devastation and destruction, but also ways to build a prosperous and safe future. Ongoing conflicts and catastrophes mark our planet but so do innovations and scientific breakthroughs. In our last MUN, the „World in transition“ stood in the focus, in this MUN we want to determine how dystopian or utopian this transition will look like. Major challenges shape the political landscape of today‘s world, which create great opportunities for fruitful debates. We hope that through diplomacy our future can be shaped in a way that benefits all of humanity and solves the crises of today. This year‘s Mini-MegaMUN conference explores these issues and presents a wide range of topics.
