From 1st to 5th February 2018, boys and girls aged 17-19 from Germany, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Slovakia and Luxembourg will debate in the following committees: General Assembly: The Rohingya refugee crisis in Myanmar Human Rights Council: The issue of the Kurdish minority in the Near and Middle East Security Council: The issue of the increasing nuclear threat in a globalized world Special Historical Security Council (in French): Le génocide au Ruanda en 1994 Since the beginning of this school year, students of our HOPE club (HOPE stands for Human Opportunities for Peace in Europe), our current Erasmus+ project led by teachers Sandra Droste and Sandra Galli, have been diligently preparing the event, sending out invitations, working on study guides and planning the culture and leisure programme. Accommodation for the foreign students will be with host families, and further to the timetable of political debates, the students will get to know the country of Luxemburg and its people.
